In class we learn many of our sight words, color words and number words to Heidi's songs. The kids love these and I have had a lot of success with incorporating her music into our lessons. It is hard to imagine that Christmas is so near and we are already entering December. This month we will work on social studies and literature units focused on “The Gingerbread Man” and holidays around the world, as well as some traditional holiday stories and crafts. 1 week down!

Congratulations to everyone for making it the 1st week! I am very excited for the school year. The kids are already amazing me with how quickly they are picking up on routines and joining right in.

I want to thank all of the parents for your support this week. I am looking forward to working with each of you and getting to know you better this school year. I would also like to thank you for all of your generous donations to the class. Each donation will be put to very good use this year.
For parents who are interested in volunteering and chaperoning field-trips, please make sure you have an up to date CORI in the main office. They do take several weeks to process.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I will be working on updating some of the things on our classroom website. If you have any suggestions on things that would be helpful to you, please let me know.
