Best Wishes and Goodbye

Thank you to everyone for a wonderful year. It was a joy to work with each of your children.

Dear Parents,

We give you back your child, the same child you confidently entrusted to our care last fall. We give him back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature then he was then.

Although he would have attained his growth in spite of me, it has been my pleasure and privilege to watch his personality unfold day by day and marvel at this splendid miracle of development.

I give him back reluctantly, for having spent nine months together in the narrow confines of a crowded classroom, we have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of each other.

We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but give him back I must. Take care of him, for he is precious.

Remember that we shall always be interested in your child and his destiny, wherever he goes, whatever he does, whoever he becomes. His joys and sorrows we will always be happy to share.

Coming to an end....

This year has flown by! It seems like yesterday that we were still learning names. We have come so far this year! I have been so privileged to work with each of your students.

This past week we were dazzled by a delightful laser show and had an opportunity to meet Kathleen Dubler, author of “Pilot Mom”.

Looking towards next week…

Our special field day has been moved to Monday. Think sun! Students will be able to wear their special Timony dragon t-shirts for the event. They came out AWESOME! The children did an extraordinary job. We will let children change into the shirts on Monday morning. We will also celebrate our summer birthdays with some special treats.

Tuesday we will hit the fields for sports day. Students should have sunscreen applied before school at home. We also HIGHLY encourage water bottles for the day with names CLEARLY written.

Wednesday we will enjoy movie day. Students will also be treated to a slush party for all the wonderful donations for the purple stars to support the Relay for Life.

Thursday is our ice-cream day. The PTO has been kind enough to donate and support this fun party for us.

Friday is our last day! Students will meet their new first grade teachers and be able to check out their new classrooms and classmates. Report cards will also be sent home with first grade teacher’s names on them.
