Happy December!

Thank you to all the families that were able to donate items this month for our everyday needs and projects. We greatly appreciate it!

Thank you to Mr. Kuzlotsky and Mrs. Whelan who helped us with some of our projects this week.

The kids had a very busy week and accomplished quite a bit! We continued to read our Gingerbread stories. Some of the stories we read were “The Gingerbread Girl”, “The Gingerbread Cowboy” and the “Gingerbread Baby”. The children all chose their favorite version and wrote a sentence about their favorite. We made gingerbread play dough and special gingerbread ornaments. Our room smelled liked a yummy bakeshop today! Friday ended with graphing bites we took out of a real gingerbread cookie. 15 children took their first bite out of the head, 7 children took their first bite from the arm and 1 student took her bite from the leg.

We worked on number words this week and continued to work on our alphabet book. We are almost done our books and hope to bring them home soon! The children made trees with “lights” to hang in the windows at school and at home. We also completed our December quilt with trees and Rudolph.
