The Leprechaun Traps

Leprechauns and a Hungry Caterpillar

This has been a very exciting week!

The Leprechaun traps were amazing and so creative! It was very obvious that a lot of hard work went into them. The children were delighted to find just the right spot to set up their traps on Tuesday night. And sure enough Liam the Leprechaun came to visit our room. On Wednesday, we found that he knocked over chairs, switched bins around, played with toys, left green footprints everywhere and made a mess! Liam managed to set off every trap and left a surprise inside, but no one was able to catch him. He was just too tricky! We ended Wednesday with eating our lunch outside for a picnic. It was just too nice to eat inside.

Our fieldtrip on Thursday was a blast! Thank you to Mr. Kuzlotsky and Mrs. Whelan for joining us. We traveled to Chelmsford High School Performing Art Center to see the puppet performance of “Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Stories.” Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia performed the show. The show was done using glow in the dark effects and had moveable props. You can visit the website of Mermaid Theatre and watch a video of the show and learn more about them.
