Halloween Celebrations

We have had a very busy 2 weeks in kindergarten. We are now a class of 25 friends. Over the past few weeks the students have learned about spiders, bats and pumpkins in science. We have started to learn about characters in a story and about discussing the beginning, middle and end of a story.

We would like to send a big thank you to Elizabeth’s mom for bringing in a fun art project for Halloween. The children had a blast making the trick-or-treat bags.

The kids also had a great time making our haunted houses. The kids had to plan their creations and figure out what their houses needed. They then painted them and decorated them to make them real “spooky”. Thank you to Jayden’s mom, Adriana’s mom, Ashley’s mom and Anthony’s mom for helping us with our creations.

The children looked spectacular for our Halloween celebration. They were excited to be able to watch the “big” 1st and 2nd graders in their costumes and then even more excited to be able to join in the parade. The kids came back to our party and made popcorn hands, Ritz Cracker spiders, a pumpkin craft, a picture frame and decorated a cupcake. Thank you to Paris’ mom, Kristian’s mom, and Arriana’s mom for helping us with the party.

I would also like to thank all the many families in our class who donated to our projects and party this month. We appreciate all the support you give us!

Have a happy and safe Halloween!
