Behavior

Dear, Parents,
This year in room 3, we will be using a colored “clip chart” to monitor our behavior and our choices.  Your child will have a clip that they will move up or down the chart, depending on their choices.  Please keep in mind that your child may not move every single day.  In order to move up, students must go above and beyond in their behavior choices.

Please understand that an occasional yellow is not cause of alarm and is part of the growing process in helping some children learn what school behavior looks like at this age. Additionally, this system is not appropriate for behavior of a serious nature such as hitting or fighting, as this will result in a referral to the school principal.
I believe that this system will be a positive way for students to monitor their choices and will give them behavior goals to strive for!  Students who finish their day on blue, purple or white will earn a “punch” on their behavior cards.  10 punches will earn a prize for the treasure chest. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
